While I initially thought that I might be stuck fabricating every fuel line about five times and worried I might have to unmount all the flight controls just to reach some installation spots, it turned out to work smooth in the end. The fuel lines fitted in the center console and the line length allowed a lot more slack than thought. Vans’ requested to cut the line length by the tens of a millimeter (1/32 of an inch) but then later on in the instructions asked to hold the line in place and shorten it accordingly. In two instances it required to cut more than an inch. So there was absolutely no worry to get the initial cut right.
Below is a picture of the waste lines I produced, at the beginning I expected the pile to be a lot bigger at the end.
