Yesterday and today I sanded and filled the gaps two more times. Filling the dents with epoxy glass bubble mix required a lot more infill than expected. Maybe I interpreted the little dent somewhat too generous whilst laying the fiber glass cuts. Anyhow, using a 40 grit sandpaper worked great to grind the form into shape. Now I waiting for the last big fill to cure, before I will start to carefully grind the epoxy down to the last layer of electrical tape. Below there are two pictures showing how the outside form grows. The title picture shows tonight’s state. Initially I thought I made a mistake that was hard to fix. But then I remembered this T-shirt sayin “keep calm and build on”, so that was what I did and it worked out great, even though I am not fully there yet: there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
